Catherine Van Son is the Lindblad Distinguished Professor in Geriatrics at WSU College of Nursing in Vancouver. Her career has focused on improving care for older adults. She has worked as a nurse in long-term care, the VA, home health and hospice, assisted living and other senior living settings. Her research focuses on how culture influences the management of chronic conditions, adoption of assistive devices and new models of caregiving for people living with dementia.
